Your connection to the server is not fast enough to stream this video

When attempting to play Mkv files I’m presented with the following error.

Your connection to the server is not fast enough to stream this video

Currently using an NVIDIA shield. I’ve removed the latest update of the Plex app on the NVIDIA shield. This downgrades the app to previous version. After downgrade the videos play perfectly.

Any insights are appreciated.

I already attempted to disable the new player in the app setting, this did not work.

Thanks

When I FAST FORWARD 3 or more times thru commercials, I get a “pause” with spinning wheel for 10-15 seconds then it resumes. If I press FF again the delay is even longer, then it resumes. After a few more seconds of normal play, I get the same message as yours: “your connection to the server…”

I may try removing the last update because this problem started about the time I last updated it.

Settings>Advanced>Enable New Video Player (Turn this off) and see if it helps.

Yup, I tried that before downgrading. It did not resolve the issue.

Thank you for the feedback, I had hoped that was the fix…
