Nvidia Shield with Plex Client 8.20.1.26670 is very slow to play videos

Hello all! I have (5) Nvidia shield streamers in my house (all current models - 2 Pro/3 standard). The Plex server application is running on a dedicated windows machine.
Data storage is a QNAP NAS connected to the Plex server with dedicated 10Gb fiber. 4 players are connected with 1Gb CAT-6, one is wireless.

As of Plex client update to 8.20.1.26670, all 5 devices take a full minute to begin streaming any video (spinning wheel of death for 60 sec). Once playback starts, it’s flawless. I also own an Android based Sony TV with the same client version installed which exhibits the same behavior. Prior to this update, playback was near instantaneous.

All other devices I have available work perfectly/instantly (iPhone, iPad, Firestick, web clients).

Has anyone else seen this behavior? Any work arounds discovered? I’m wondering if there’s a simple fix before I start the process of side loading an old version on 5 devices. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

UPDATE: I’ve determined this issue is related to OpenDNS (and possible Plex certificate issues - still sorting it out). After restarts on all equipment, the problem degraded to not connecting to the server at all.
