I do not see Plex on the Xbox 360 dash and it's not displaying in the search results.

As mentioned on our site (and blog and newsletter), the Xbox One application was released today. The Xbox 360 application will be available "soon".

I'm blind. I didn't see or read the TINY * notation. :D

I'm sorry, i'll pass that onto the people that are responsible for the website.

I didn't see that stipulation either. I wish I would have known before I rearranged 3 different devices in 3 different rooms today in anticipation of having it.
Please define “soon”. It is far too subjective a term

Soon being "not very long" ;)
Ian
Curse you and your subjective language!
Can you give a scale that would fit a single digit response?
8 weeks?
5 months?
4 years?
9 days?
Hell, even just “before December 24th” would be an alright answer

Can you please put out another blog post or email when it is available? I'm already tired of turning on the 360 each day to see if it is available. Thanks.

Agreed, it'd be nice to get an email or have someplace to check for this. I'm also waiting for the 360 version.
+1 Please notify us when the 360 app is available.
Considering that that there are quite a few more 360 customers than Xbox One customers, I'm surprised that you opted for the Xbone release first. That tells me you wanted a marketing win instead of an actual win for your customers.

Or there were technical reasons. Plex for Xbox One is a limited release. The 360 release was announced alongside it and given equal attention. Clearly they didn't favor one over the other for marketing purposes.

As an owner of both, very happy the XBox One was released first as that is in my main TV area. This would be one customer with a different view than yours :)

That seems like a bit of a reach. Would you have preferred they waited for the 360 to be ready and released them both at the same time? This is a slippery slope for this kind of logic: There are also more PS4s out there than Xbox Ones--should they have developed a PS4 app first? What about PS3? Maybe they should have worked with Sony before Microsoft...
There's just no reason to jump to negative conclusions when a more reasonable explanation simply relates to opportunity and, as Auxillo mentioned, it was probably technical reasons.
I'm just spitballing here, but I'd imagine that the Xbox One is what opened the door for them to get on the Xbox platform. Then, when working with Microsoft, an opportunity presented itself to also get on the 360.
Either way, it seems like they provided a win for their customers by releasing a beta on one platform as soon as possible rather than waiting to release both at once. If they had released the 360 version first, then Xbox One owners (who are most likely 360 owners anyway) would be curious as to why the latest console didn't get the app. They can't immediately please everyone.
I don't blame you for being anxious for the 360 app, but, even if it's still a few weeks out (I hope not), we still never expected to have Plex on a 360 until a week ago. I'd still count this as a great surprise from the team.
Besides, a marketing win is good anyway...the more users Plex has the better for everyone.

Your desire for the 360 version is understood, however I have to agree with AnEightiesGuy. I shall be patient and await the 360 that will likely include changes based on feedback from the Xbone implementation.
Thanks again to the Plex team for a great addition to the product offering.
Bow only if they would provide an ETA ON THIS THING!!! :)
I have to second (or third) that and say that the XBox 360 is something I never thought we would have so am prepared to wait an indeterminate amount of time for it. I am quite sure the guys at Plex will email when the update is up and live.
If you use IFTTT I have set a reciepe up to notify you when they post a blog entry on the 360.
I wonder how much Microsoft paid for the timed exclusive. They are famed for this kinda thing.
It's not Microsoft's or Plex's fault that there isn't an app on the PS4. Sony's PS4 does not have DNLA. Hopefully it'll have it soon with a firmware patch, but if anyone is to blame it's Sony. With that said, I can't wait for an app on my PS4 because that's the system I use the most. The XB1 app right now though is phenomenal.

Smart move by them if they did. I certainly would have... Plex on Xbox One is a huge advantage for them over PS4. If they didn't make it exclusive, they really should be trying to do so.
