thanks, great work as usual.

This is all great, its really getting better but even in this new version I don’t get a mouse cursor in the PHT window
Any idea why please ?

Thank you. Excited to see what’s to come

The milestones page on GitHub should give you some ideas on what we are working on, see Milestones - RasPlex/OpenPHT · GitHub and press (more)
Next up is OpenPHT 1.6 that has been worked on at the same time as 1.5.2, it will bring a big update to the playback engine and will truly unite RasPlex and OpenPHT into one code base.

Huge thanks for the embedded version

Thanks a lot for your efforts. I’ve been enjoying OPHT since day 1.

Just an FYI in case it helps anyone, I tried out the embedded version on the new skylake NUC6i5 but get the ‘failed to start Xorg, is your GPU supported?’ error.
Researching the error on the openelec forums (I probably should’ve done this first), it requires a special build due to it being new hardware (Fritsch 6.0.98 special build).
No worries, I knew there weren’t any guarantees. Figured I’d give it a shot.

Thanks much

Unfortunately until OpenELEC update to include this in their official releases then we can’t do anything, 1.5.2 was built on OpenELEC 6.0.2 which was the latest available. Presumably by the time we release OpenPHT 1.6.0 then we will be able to use whatever is merged from the unofficial 6.0.98 into a stable OpenELEC release to address this issue. Sorry.

Incidentally there is a separate topic for the embedded build as detailed in the first post.

Regards

I asked this question on 1.5.1 and never got an answer. Switched over to PMP since it doesn’t have this issue. Has others, but that’s another story…

[From previous post] Anybody looking into the unable to create play queue issue? See here for my details in a comment.

I have now compared the data that is sent from PMP and OpenPHT to create the play queue and there is a url encoding issue in OpenPHT/PHT causing this issue. Fix will be included in next release.

Wow. Awesome! Honestly didn’t understand why it was never fixed in PHT to begin with! Might have to switch back once it’s working. It’s the one thing that kept annoying me!

Thanks much.

Hi, is there a way to make xbox one wireless controller work on openpht?

@OpenPHT devs,

After running OpenPHT 1.52 for 2 days in the family livingroom HTPC, I must say this is the best front end Plex has ever had. Many little bugs and inconsistencies are fixed - making the best client bar none.

Thanks a lot.

I still have no mouse cursor on it and no help in resolving it

Having the XBOX ONE Controller working would be a workaround until its fixed.

Wow  As far as I could understand, that will also mean, that it it is den possible to make an openelec build for the ODROID C1 for example as all the hardware acceleration code for those pplattforms should be within those backports, right?

Then only the backport of the PVR functionality is missing to make it the perfect media center distribution / application

Just like PHT there is no mouse support in OpenPHT, it could possibly be made to work with some skin modifications, search the PHT forums. Mouse support is unfortunately not on the current roadmap but feel free to submit a pull request on GitHub that adds mouse support to OpenPHT.

It should be possible to make the xbox one controller to work by modifying/adding a keymap file. Check the PHT forums and keymaps from latest Kodi. Once you or anyone else have a working keymap for the xbox one controller please submit a pull request on GitHub for inclusion in next release.

It should be possible to add support for amlogic/imx support more easily once 1.6 is finished, but for now I have skipped most amlogic/imx only changes/files when working on the backporting. There is currently no support for amlogic/imx in the cmake build system used for PHT/OpenPHT, so that will also have to be addressed.

There could also be other parts of the code base that’s needs changes to make it run on a amlogic device, only cores, rendering, windowing and part of guilib has been backported from Kodi Jarvis/Isengard for 1.6.

Currently windows and osx builds of 1.6 seems fairly stable, rasplex builds still has some issues that’s needs to be resolved and for openelec builds it should be more about fixing rasplex only features and branding.

I was told that I could edit the UI file and change FALSE to TRUE, to get mouse support, same as I could in PHT but my cursor disappears when I go over the PHT window.

I will look at making a config file over the weekend if I can find time

Thanks

Dumb question, when using “Play from here” on an episode from a TV show you’ve partly watched it starts the episode from the beginning rather than asking if you want to resume from .

Is that expected or potentially a bug?

Any news about a Linux version of OpenPHT?
I need a replacement for the PHT version running under HD Station on my QNAP TS-453Mini NAS.
There are too many bugs in PHT and I understand that dev has ceased.
