While connected with a web browser on plex.tv / Launch, and when queuing a file to Plex Mix, nothing happens and there is no log on the server.
Tested with (ad blocks disabled):
Server: 1.1.4.2757 / Debian 64-bit
It seems to be a plex.tv web app issue. Connecting directly to the server (https://plex:32400) works perfectly, and Android too.
Also confirming this issue. Plex Mix does not work from plex.tv web app.
Not working for me either. Only works on the Android mobile app but does nothing when I try on PC through the web app.
Confirming the issue too ! Works with “local” webpage (https://localhostname:32400) but not with https://app.plex.tv/web/app
I can confirm this issue too (PlexWeb 2.8.6). Google Chrome Devtools shows an JS error, when clicking “Play Plex Mix”:
I can also confirm that selecting Play Plex Mix from the context menu does nothing.

I have been looking into this a bit and it is external only. If I connect to my device using the internal network (192.168.x.x:32400/web) then plex mix works. If I do it from plex.tv/web (while inside my house) it plays music ok but it does not play a mix.
I have a watchguard with really robust logging and I was thinking it was a firewall issue but it’s not giving anything on the device. All the data is passing cleanly through. Something in an update or on the website is not working properly if that helps.

Just on a whim, I tried this with an insecure connection outside of the network and got no different results. Can confirm the issue with plex.tv/web instead of localIP/web.
Adding in my findings to keep track of the issue as well. Glad to see Plex has picked it up.

Please could you look at settings / web / general and note down the version number for Plex Web for each
Non-working web external: Version 2.9.0 in either Chrome or Firefox.
Working web local: Version 2.7.10 in either Chrome of Firefox
Also, I have tested that the Plex Mix feature works fine in both the WIndows 10 mobile phone app and the Windows 8 mobile phone app. So the Issue is definitely with the Version 2.9 web player.
Hosted Plex Web has just been updated to version 2.9.3 which has a fix for Plex Mix
