anyone else getting playback errors since the last update?

Ever since the last update I’ve been getting playback errors, not on everything but I never got any playback error before. I’ve gotten them on PCs and an xbox1 but not till the last update

Same Here been using Plex for almost 2 years now and not one playback error EVER!! Now I also am getting them too also not on everything but its a hit or miss…

This may be similar to my problems…Play back errors and Transcoding errors where my files are in 265 and Plex changes them to 264…I’ve noticed that the 265 is the only format that has the issues

I updated my server last night and now get the “Unable to play content” error from my tablet. The server also started saying its unable to get a direct connection. I restarted the server and it was suddenly ok. A friend of mine has been having issues with his server being inaccessible from outside his network.

Updated this morning to Version 1.9.4.4325. Getting this error:

Does anybody have clear instructions on how to revert back to an older version. I know the prior updates are here:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Updates on my c drive. It is not clear to me if I uninstall plex, and click on the single file that is in this folder, will it install a new version of plex of that particular version?

How/what do I do to not have to reset up my server? is there any files I can back up such that when I reinstall the older version, my plex settings will all be back as original?

I have same question. How do I to revert to earlier version of Plex Media Server for Windows? I am having errors as well after updating although it is only when I try to record NBC shows.

It’s confusing, i watched a movie last night at my Samsung TV. After 1 Hour thge movie stopped and now i got that error every time. wtf.

Same issue here. “shaka1001 (Network)” on playing ANY music files, OR “Please check that the file exists and the necessary drive is mounted”. All movies seem to work. Chrome on Mac and Firefox on Mac = same issue. Android app (latest) just sits there at 0:00 on a music file and doesn’t seem to do anything at all. Latest server Version 1.9.5.4339, running on Windows Server 2016 Standard with all latest updates. Going to check logs now.

WTH Plex guys - is there a new update or a fix? This is pretty annoying…

…however…it seems I’ve just been able to resolve all instances of the issue. I noticed in passing that a pulseaudio related error had flashed briefly when I was trying to provide more info to this thread. The full pulseaudio package set was not installed on any of the 3 Lubuntu servers experiencing the problem. I proceeded to install the set and voilà, all are now working fine. No further Shaka errrors when playing music on these servers.

I’m having same issue, I can no longer play any of my videos and can’t even log onto my crunchyroll account :frowning: its quite upsetting that this is happening and I have a samsung tv

easy fix, I uninstalled the latest build and reinstalled the previous version, no issues so far, will report after a week
