I looked into your reports on a new Sony BDP-3700. Here’s what I’m seeing and what we’ve done so far.
I see the Plex app available after launching the Opera TV Store app from the blu-ray players home screen. I haven’t found a Plex app in the Sony menu system that displays after pressing the + icon on the home screen to add an app.
In the Opera TV Store the Plex application no longer launches correctly. The Opera TV Store asks me if I’d like to open “Internet Browser” and close the Opera TV Store. Selecting either the Yes or No option in the Opera TV Store prompt results in brokeness. This behavior is not correct. The Plex application should be launching directly into a chrome-less browser without any Opera TV Store prompts.
I’ve shared my findings with Opera TV/Vewd. We’re waiting for their feedback and fix.
