1.23.0.4438 crash with HEVC files

You can upgrade to Plex 1.23.0.4482 with both QTS 4.5.3 or QuTS 4.5.2 with either Nvidia 4.0.2 or 5.0.2

AS LONG AS

You aren’t using a Quadro GPU

Do we have any more movement on this? has either plex or qnap been able to make headway?

I am researching as best I can.

At this point, I am trying to reproduce in any way I can.

I need shell access to a machine at some point in order to capture the data I need.

As secondary path, I’m having a system build in the HQ Lab expressly for this task.

There is only so much which can be done in 2 days.

Thanks for the update ChuckPA. I really appreciate all the effort you and the team at plex are doing to resolve this issue.

I’m setting up the HQ Lab now for a different test then going to head off to bed.

:crossed_fingers:

PMS 1.23.0.4497 now works with nvidia quadro on qnap Qts 4.5.2 NvidiaDriver 4.0.2.

Unfortunately still qnap hasn’t fixed anything regarding the nvidia quadro on qts 4.5.3 and nvidia driver 5.0.2.

@ilboss

What changed?

nothing, just tried PMS beta released today. The problem remains that we cannot update qts due to qnap.

We’ve been working on things here.
I know the transcoder team has been pressing hard / digging into the QNAP problem.

I’ve not spoken to anyone yet but maybe they were able to recreate it on Ubuntu .

Hey @ChuckPa have the teams provided any update on this issue yet? or still status quo until qnap gets back them?

thanks in advance.

Yes and sorry for not getting back to this thread.

  1. We’ve fixed the initial issue with the Nvidia GT cards on QNAP
  2. It appears QNAP has addressed the bigger issue with their drivers for both GT and Pxxxx cards as of today’s release.
