1.24.2.4973 - Plex Server Randomly Crashes every few minutes

I have a Windows 10 PC hosting my Plex Server. With zero clients connected, the PMS just crashes (as evidence by the icon disappearing from the system tray and Web ADmin becoming unresponsive). This just started occurring within in the past day or so.

I have attempted to repair my installation several times, which did not help.

There are no more detailed steps to reproduce. I have seen this happen 10+ times this afternoon.

I just had a thought. I recently enabled Sonic Analysis on my Music library. That could be the culprit. I have disabled that setting and will monitor the server.

Disabling this feature did not stop the server from crashing after ~5 minutes.

I have same version PMS on my Windows 10 NUC and it’s solid. We watched a movie just last night.

I watched a couple of movies last weekend on the same server and no issues whatsoever. This is a recent development. Server has been rock-solid for 2 years now… We’ll see what the devs come back with from the logs…

Have you tried rolling back to the previous version?

Location for PMS Updates >>> …\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Updates

Rolling back worked for me while I wait for a new version to be released.
