So it seems that my plex server crashes while recording via plex dvr. This never happened before I started using plex dvr (So that’s why this is my assumption). The bad thing is I don’t have a way of knowing that the server crashed until I try to use plex again.
For example this morning I tried to get to my plex server and realized that it crashed on Friday afternoon.
And you can see the server was not recording anything yesterday and started to record again today once I restarted the synology nas.
I have the plex server running on a synology ds1815+. And this plex server version is not officially supported by synology to my understanding.
I tried to look at the logs…but it seems the logs from when the server crashed are gone.
So my question, what should I do about this? On the synology side, it says that the plex package is running even though you can’t get to the plex server. I realize I need to capture the logs but I need a way to know when the server crashes. Is there any way to notify via plex when the server crashes?

I can post logs now. The server crashed again today and I believe I have the logs for it
I don’t think I need to post all the logs files in the zip. So would someone mind telling me what files to post from the logs?
thanks!
The web interface through settings / server / help / download logs zips the logs that we need to see. Cannot tell you what bits of plex media server contributed to the events that led to the crash - so please after a crash, restart the server and get the zipped logs through the web interface and attach here
And please double check that you have debug logging enabled on the server
Settings / server / general / show advanced / enable debug logging and save changes
Restart to get fresh logs and wait for next crash

Looks like it crashed last night (8/15) around 8 pm EST.

Annddd looks like it crashed today again around 3 am
-edit-
actually looks like it recorded 12 minutes of the show. So then that would make the crash around 2:42/43 am EST

Thank you. Yes there was a crash at 7:30 relating to tuning live TV.
A bug in this area has just been fixed and will be included in future release
