days later, hours of searching forums, my attempt to figure it out here and still NO Live TV/DVR group, no guide, nothing that would allow me to watch live tv from the apple tv4 app.
I am looking into other apps like the HDhomerun app so i can kick Plex to the curb. It might be a good solution for people who like coming home from work and working on Plex but it is not for me.
Have you tried deleting the Plex app on the Apple TV and reinstalling it? If that didn’t work, have you considered resetting the Apple TV settings to factory default? I have issues with Apple TV and Plex, but the basic functionality should be there.
Just a last update. The problem was resolved by downloading the most recent app from the plex.tv site and NOT from the apple store. Seems that one does not have live tv. I admit to feeling a bit stupid but also still frustrated by the lack of support. If Plex wants non-IT people like me to be customers, they have to provide some support. They could have solved this one in minutes.
Still can’t access Plex on my MyCloud often from my ATV4 (thats apple tv 4 for non-IT people)
I’m very confused by this statement. You can’t download apps for your Apple ATV4 or iOS devices from anywhere but the Apple App store (unless you’re talking about Testflight and/or Buddybuild installs).
Did you perhaps reinstall the Plex Media Server on a computer or NAS?
