2.2 update seems to be a massive improvement... but voice control.

Hi Crew,

The 2.2 update for me has been a massive improvement. I can’t say that I like the interface any better, but at least it’s operating much better now (the selection doesn’t disappear after a video plays for example).

However, I’m having a problem now with voice control. I know Kinect is discontinued by Microsoft, but voice control is still there. “Xbox pause” doesn’t seem to work, but “Xbox play” does.

Can anyone else confirm this issue?

Thanks!

I am seeing the same issue on both my Xbox one and Xbox one x

I just watched a movie tonight and was able to pause and play using the Kinect commands.

I think this got broken along with the remote control issue I and a few others reported. Try saying “xbox play” and see if it also pauses when already playing.

The 2.1.1 update broke the PLAY and PAUSE commands the remote controls use, and only the PLAY_PAUSE toggle command was working. 2.1.2 added the PLAY command but it’s being handled by the PLAY_PAUSE handler and so acting as a toggle now, and PAUSE still doesn’t work. I bet the kinect uses these same commands and is broken in the same way.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon

I am having this same issue.

I also cannot pause with my kinect on xbox one.

Hi there. Sorry about that. It’s a known issue and we’re looking into it!

Confirm my wife also being driven angry by ‘Xbox Pause’ voice command no longer working after more recent updates in Plex. As a workaround ‘Xbox Stop’ still works but then resuming playback takes a lot longer and is less intuitive than just being able to shout ‘Xbox Pause’ and ‘Xbox Play’ when needed.

Please let us know on this thread once you get this fixed @Moussa - Thanks for confirming it’s a known issue you’re looking into

This will be fixed in the next update.

Will that update also include the new Library navigation as featured in PMP 2.4.0 @Moussa ?

The pause button/command issue should be fixed in the latest update.

And yes, it does include the new library picker @clowg

Yay!!!

Look forward to testing when I get home tonight!!
