2 part movie in Plex

Player Version#: 4.34.3

I have a movie (Fall of the Roman Empire) that was on 2 discs and so I have 2 files (part 1 and part 2) for it. When I add it to Plex it shows it has one entry with the #2 in the top left hand corner of the poster.
Fall of the Roman Empire (1964) - Pt01.m4v
Fall of the Roman Empire (1964) - Pt02.m4v

I have another movie from the past (The Green Berets) that was on 2 discs and made 2 files and somehow got Plex to understand that the 2 files were part 1 and 2 and have 1 entry (showing the total minutes) of the 2 files in Plex.
The Green Berets (1968) - Pt01.m4v
The Green Berets (1968) - Pt02.m4v

I named the movies the same way. I tried splitting and merging. I can’t figure out what I did when I had this situation before. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Since they are M4V’s possibly they have some embedded metadata in them that is messing things up?

maybe try pt1 instead of pt01

also note the requirements that even things like the order of video/audio streams need to match

Ok. TY.
