I have movies with 2 different resolutions - 1080p and 4K.
Is there away to choose which one to watch?
My CPU server can transcode 1080p but not the 4K file. If i’m watching locally i want to watch the 4K but when watching remotely, i would like the 1080p to be transcoded or watch originally.

Movie Name (YEAR) [4K/Whatever].xxx
All in [Brackets] is ignored by Plex.
When you add them to the library Plex will ‘Merge’ them into one item. When you play them, depending on the client device, you will be prompted to select which ‘version’ you want, or you can select via the ‘Play Version’ button that will appear for Merged movies in Plexweb/Other.
