Posting in that thread doesn’t seem to get anyones attention so hopefully this will. It’s been over 3 months and 22 server releases by my count. Is anybody on top of this?

I recently updated to to Plex Server Version#: 1.18.6.2368 and now when I add a new video the thumbnail generation task takes such a long time that I wind up having to force quit Plex.
For 1:30 length movie it takes about 6 hours to generate the thumbnails and stresses out the server too much.
This issue started after this update, is there anyway to revert back to an earlier version?

It’s finally fixed. Probably with version 1.19.4.2935 as this was in the changelog…
(Jobs) Generation of video preview thumbnails would continue even after disabling the global preference.
