My equipment:
Nvidia shield pro 2019
Pioneer VSX93 Receiver
TCL C835 TV
I’m having a lip sync issue when watching 24p movies with refresh rate matching turned on.
This happens regardless of the file resolution, 4k, 1080p, etc.
The issue happens whether I use the Plex setting, or the Shields native refresh rate matching setting.
It only happens from within Plex. And obviously if I run the movies at 60hz, there are no issues.
I originally thought it was the receiver, because if I turn it off, and bypass it, the issue goes away. So safe to assume it’s not a TV issue or setting there. However, I can leave the receiver on and watch with Kodi @ 24p and everything plays perfectly. Which leads me to believe it has something to do with Plex.
I could play movies through Kodi, but I much prefer Plex, especially since it has native Dolby vision support.
I did see that thread, and read through just about all of it.
However, I’m not using an Apple TV, and my issue, though similar, still seems like a different issue.
EDIT: After referring back to the thread you linked, I would like to check if you have indeed read it, as many users there are saying they have not noticed the issue on their nvidia shields. So the issue may be completely unrelated.
Anyhow, just thought someone might have some insight.
