Hi all,
My setup is as follows:
- 2D and 3D movies in different folders
- seperate libraries for 2D and 3D
- poster, fanart and metadata (nfo file) are stored locally with the video file
- poster of the 3D version has an 3D badge on the poster, title is “Moviename (3D)” in the metadata nfo
The problem:
When I add a 3D version of a movie I already have in my library as 2D, the poster of the 2D version disappears. Background fanart stays, but is the same for both movies anyway.
My thoughts:
It looks like the poster for a movie is shared globally, even between seperate libraries.
What is your experience? I believe my setup regarding 2D/3D split is the common workaround to Plex’s inability to handle multiple versions correctly. Any better way to identify 2D/3D versions from client perspective?
