3D Movies Library

when making a new library, Under (Select your library type) there should be a 3D Movies library selection. Specifically designed for 3D Movies that is separate form the main Movie library.

You can have multiple “Movies” libraries and name them whatever you like. What would you want to be different on the back-end beyond a different icon next to the name? Presumably the metadata is all the same?

I have a 3D library for those movies I have in 3D, and then I also have a 2D library for all of the non-3D movies in my library.

There used to be a problem with this, that appears to have been resolved. It used to be that if you watched the 2D movie, and you had the same title in a 3D library, you got both versions on your “On Deck.” It appears that with the new “Discovery” feature that this may be resolved. If so, this is the first thing I have seen from this feature that I like.

Now I only tested this on a couple of movies, so it might not work the same for everyone out there. But this is what I found when testing this just tonight. (Avatar 2D and Avengers 3D were the two AI tested. both of which I know I have both copies of in my library.)

The first time I tried this it did not go well. Plex automatically added the 3D movies as duplicated movies to my standard movies Library.
But after you guys commented I decided to try it again and to my amazement it works flawlessly. Everything is nice and neat in its own library and also the movie cover art work came up as 3D. Wow this is so awesome.

Early 2021 clean-up: multiple libraries of the same media type are available
