The background art is way too blurred and it’s pretty much impossible to work out what the picture is showing. For example, at the moment it shows a psychedelic orange blur. Other clients such as the Roku have an option to either blur or dim the background, which looks a lot better. I seem to remember that an older 8.1 version showed a `normal’ picture as well.
I’m torn on this one. I do like the use of background images in the 8.1 app, but at the same time I like the subtlety here. I honestly don’t know which approach I prefer.
I like the Xbox and Roku apps, that have a blur/dim option. Give us a bit of choice

Thanks Plex! Although I’ve grown to like the current background as it looks pretty cool
I’ll tell you a secret: When I first added super-blur to the UWP app I didn’t like it. But now I actually prefer it to dimmed. I think my initial dislike of it was simply that I have got used to dimmed for years.
I agree, it looked odd in the beginning but I actually think it works better with the super blur, it actually looks very cool. That said, having the option between dimmed and blurred is great, thanks for all your hard work on this!
