This has been an annoyance of mine going back to the original windows store app. When I use this app on my laptop (surface book, in tablet mode) using the touch screen, the playback overlay seems to never disappear on its own until I tap somewhere else on the screen.
Was on 3.0.14 last night when I last confirmed it happened. I also just loaded up the latest version on my desktop and when using with a mouse the controls do auto hide just fine.
