I know I might have asked this awhile back not sure.
I am building my All in The Family series but I am stuck on season 8
When originally broadcast there were 24 episodes ( a few two parters)
Using Filebot and either tvmaze oe TVDB it treats it as 24 episodes but the issue is the DVD release combined the two partes episodes for a total of 22 episodes for season 8
Even using DVD order in filebot still gives 24 eps NOT the Season 8 actual dvd episode count of 22
What naming convention should I use so Plex picks it up accordingly when imported into my library?
According to Wikipedia, episodes 1+2 and 4+5 aired as double-episodes.
So if your DVD has only 22 files, naming should be like this:
TV Shows
All in the Family
Season 08
All in the Family - s08e01-e02 - Archie Gets the Business Part 1+2.ext
All in the Family - s08e03 - Cousin Liz.ext
All in the Family - s08e04-e05 - Edith's 50th Birthday Part 1+2.ext
All in the Family - s08e06 - Unequal Partners.ext
All in the Family - s08e07 - Archie's Grand Opening.ext
All in the Family - s08e08 - Archie's Bitter Pill (Part 1).ext
...
All in the Family - s08e24 - The Stivics Go West.ext
Keep in mind:
This will create 2 episode records in Plex for those double-episodes. Each will show the correct meta data for that episode. Still⦠each entry will point to the 2-episode file!
I know this thread is already a complete mixup of topics
You know you can post new/different questions in their own threads, donāt you? This will also allow other users to more easily find those posts if they have a similar issue (instead of ignoring it because itās all in a āI am still confusedā tread)
My other option was to split the double episode single file into 2 but I doubt ( have not checked) that the single file will have the opening credits twice in the single file
