What exact version and platform of the Plex app is this about? Do you get the same error when accessing your server through other apps (e.g. the desktop or web apps)?
Plex Media Server version is 1.26.1.5798 and the tvs are from outside the LAN. Plex remote access is running fine and I can access the server outside of my LAN using a cellphone or a computer. But the 3 tvs started showing a black screen and the legend 401 Unauthorized a while ago.
I should add the 3 tvs are from a friend with external library access. She can’t get access anymore and we are worried about this. Please sorry about my bad English!
My question was aiming at the make/model of the smart TVs and what version of Plex is installed on those ![]()
I’ll try to get that data. How can I get the Plex version installed in the tvs?
One of the TVs is a Noblex 91EA4X5100X from Argentina. I can’t tell which version of Plex is running but it is pretty old.
Anyway I’m suspecting they’ve stopped working after some Plex Media Server upgrade because the tree tvs stopped working at once
Other tv is a Philips 42PFL3403/77 also from Argentina. I don’t know which version of Plex is running ![]()
Are those Android TV models?
If so, the app version should be listed at the bottom of the app’s settings (probably in the Google Play Store too).
No, they aren’t Android TV models and I don’t know the Operating System they’re running but I’m pretty sure it’s not Android. both tvs are about 5 years old
