All of the sudden the web player does not appear to be upscaling 480p mkv files through the web player anymore. I have tried Firefox and Chrome (both the current version) on Windows 10 22H2 on both mine and my wife’s laptops (she’s the one that brought it to my attention) and they look the same. It’s blocky and has strange artifacts on playback. This does not happen on any of the apps (iOS, Android, or Windows) and just started recently. Network bottleneck is not an issue as the connection between the Win 10 VM that runs my Plex server and my NAS is 10Gb and for WiFi we have two Ubiquiti U6-Lite APs on current firmware with excellent signal strength and throughput. Any ideas on what I can take a look at to try and fix this? It’s odd that is also only appears to do this with mkv files. A few anime series that I converted to m4v to permanently set the language and subtitles I wanted look perfectly fine in the web player.
