[480p] [HEVC] [x265] [MKV] not being recognized as videos

Server Version#: - PMS 1.18.1.2019-x186313fe
Player Version#: - N/A

Hey not sure if this is the right section, but; I have gotten some files with that are ([480p] [HEVC] [x265] [MKV]) and I am trying to scan them into my Plex library and it does not recognize them as video files. Is it the encoding as they play in Grove(sp?) and WMP so I know they are real video files. I also tried to convert it using RealPlayer converter but it doesn’t see them either. Could someone please give me an idea of what to do?

Plex relies heavily on rules for naming folders and files. Are you using these rules? Are these TV Show files or Movie files?

If neither, Plex also will not “notice” video files smaller than 300mb I think?

oh! it’s the last part that is my bane probably the original files are 300+ and the new are less than 100 :frowning: do you know of a converter i can “fluff” up the size of the files with  Ah well I guess there is a limit to how much compression is a good thing

Not true. I have a lot of videos in my test library which are smaller than that.

@A_Nolan please show us a few of your actual file names.
