This worked for me on my LG G5 77”. Had a file with 43 subtitle tracks that gave me a lot of trouble in terms of playback. Stripped it down to only the subtitle I wanted, and it played without problems.

Same issue here playing 4k HDR using the native LG plex app with direct play. Issue does not occur when using Plex client on an nvidia shield.

Video playback stutters and then the app itself becomes extremely laggy, slow to navigate. Basically make the app unusable.
