4K downgrading to 1080p on its own - Plex for Apple TV

Hi guys, I’ve been using Plex for a couple of years, and recently noticed a problem with the player app on Apple TV (4K)

When playing a video/movie from the media server that’s on 4K, the app automatically selects “convert to 1080p (maximum)” on playback settings, if I go ahead and select “play on original quality” nothing happens, the “convert to 1080p” option remains selected.

Also, the video settings section of the ATV app is really bad compared to the Tizen OS (Samsung TVs) one.

Any help would be appreciated.
