4K HDR Content Stuttering on Roku Streaming Stick+

I’m attempting to use the Roku Streaming Stick+ HE to play 4K HDR (h.265 HECV Main 10 in MKV) content from Plex over local network. The video stutters every 10-15 seconds.

If I set Plex to transcode the content, it loses the HDR but streams smoothly. Something specific to the HDR is causing Roku to stutter.

The same content plays fine on the Plex app on my TV as well as Plex on Mac (of course only after Hardware Decoding is disabled per this thread), ruling out network issues (the server is wired while the clients are wifi, but it’s an AC network and the file in question is only averages 22Mbps—logs in Plex Dashboard show it to be well under what the network can sustain) but I’d rather use Roku as it’s better TV experience.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

Does anyone have thoughts about how I can get to the bottom of this? It happens with some files but not others.
