Using PMS via docker on unraid setup. Ever since version-1.22.0.4163 the hardware transcoding has been broken. It seems for me (and others as well) the HW transcoding of 4K HDR HEVC content has been broken ever since. That was approximately -2 months- ago it stopped working.
Not too sure what changes were made, but it completely broke the 10th gen chips in this build environment. I kept seeing mentions it was going to be fixed, but I tried the latest update just now and it’s still very much broken as it reverts to CPU transcoding.
Could we please get some clarification or a fix pushed out? It was working perfectly, so i’m not too sure why it would be so difficult to revert whatever changes broke it whilst you’re working out the kinks for the 11th series chips. I bought a chip specifically to utilise the HW transcoding aspects and the updates are now falling a considerable way behind just to stay on a working build.
Appreciate any help/input. And yes, I know there are some other threads discussing 11th gen chips and various packaging issues but I truly don’t know much about that stuff and just want to be able to pull down a valid image to use. I’m sure i’m not the only one on that front…
