A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server

I’m new with Plex and tried to go through an install on a Dell desktop with i7 CPU/8GB ram and SSD running Windows 10 but got the message that a problem had been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server. I will try to attach the log file to this message and hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I searched for posts with the same problem I had and none of them ever seemed to get a response and it’s been over a week since I posted so I decided to try another similar software package (Emby). It installed and worked very well so I am going to close this post out and move on. In case anybody else runs into the similar message or is tired of trying things that aren’t working, I would recommend giving it a try.

That issue means something didn’t get installed properly. I would re-downloading the install file and install it again.

Thanks for your reply. During the week I was waiting, I tried three new installs with each one starting with a fresh download and attempted install but all yielded the same message. That is why I decided to give Emby a try and will stick with it at this point.
