Hello, I’ve spent days trying to solve that problem reading many threads on this forum concerning similar issues but none of the solution worked so far
Few words about the topology: The synology is installed on a local network ip. I don’t have any physical access to this network and I use a VPN when I need to do maintenance on the router.
I’ve tried to install server either from the Synology packet manager (1.13.xx) either manually (1.16.4.xx) the problem still the same. The web interface is working fine when I connect to http://xxxxxxxx.synology.me:32400/web/index.html but it doesn’t find any server.
What I have done so far to try to fix that issue :
- Reboot the router and the synology
- Uninstall, delete plex shared folder, reinstall
- I stopped the server, deleted Preferences.xml and plexmediaserver.pid and then restarted the server
- I’m using the same email address to login that the admin one on syno
- Increased plex user permission to maximum
- I’ve tried to run claimpms.sh but I got an error :
Getting User Token from plex.tv
******** ERROR ********
We failed to authenticate towards plex.tv
Please check username and password, as well as network access
- I’m using Firefox but I’ve tried with chrome → same problem
Any other idea?
