Player Version#:916+
I installed the latest Plex server on my 916+ it says it’s running so I click on Plex server to launch it and it can’t find the server… I have tried many different things uninstalling reinstalling uninstalling reinstalling and everything else I can think of and nothing, I’ve read many different forms and tried all kinds of different things and still nothing so I thought I would post and see if there is any more information out there… Thanks

All are on the same subnet.
I have tried it with the firewall on and off, I have even turned firewall and VPN off on my router and NASS .
I have tried to launch it from the NASS app and from ip address:32400, all with the same response “looking for server”.
I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times the last time was just a day ago so I do have the most updated version right from the plex website.
I do have my lifetime Plex pass but at this point maybe jumping in with both feet was a bad idea… Thanks for all your help so far.

Turned off my VPN and firewall on everything and still the same thing I followed Q16 probably 10 different times now because that’s the only thing Google search shows for this issue, so my final assumption is Plex and Synology does not work together I have messed with this and
Google searched it for way too long. so thanks for everyone’s time and if anyone has any real good ideas I might actually try them but for right now Q16 no longer exists in my mind it’s worthless it basically says log out of everything and log back in and don’t have anything turned on been there done that I’m so over it I’ll call Synology and see if they have any ideas if not I’ll move on to some different software I was just told Plex was the best…A couple questions:
- IP address of the TV ?
- IP address of the server ?
- Synology firewall active ?
TV 192.168.1.101
Server 192.168.1.13
Laptop 192.168.1.190
Firewall was off on everything
VPN was off
