The Preview app is a ‘Private Channel’, not found in the guide, but easily installed via the link above. It can run along with the ‘Official’ Plex app.
That definitely solved the issue for me. However if I play E-AC3 I have the same issue, but a workaround for that is to set audio to stereo. It would be nice to find a workaround for that though.
@JuiceWSA like @Fryer6900 said above, stuttering is now happening when direct playing AC3/eAC3 (Dolby) stereo streams too.
Have you had any reports of this and any chance of a direct stream workaround for this too? I don’t get why Roku 10 doesn’t play nicely with stereo only.
All I know is unless you have a Roku Ultra 4640 - EAC3 can only be shuffled off to something that can support it. No current Roku Model supports EAC3. <—and if you guess the community isn’t all that happy about it - you’d guess right. A Google will reveal Roku Inc Forums (if you can call what they have a forum) alight with that news, but it’s been some time ago now.
All I have is AC3 5.1/2.0 and I have no issues whatsoever on the current Preview app. I don’t have any EAC3, so I’m not much help on that.
All of my material is in Direct Play.
