Current:
Selecting multiple items in a playlist only gives the option to remove from the playlist.
Proposed:
Selecting multiple items in a playlist gives access to the same editing features as exist in collection views, including Edit and Mark as Played.
Why:
Firstly, because playlist sharing is not a feature but collections do work across users/friends, this would be a way to share playlists without needing the full feature. Secondly, it seems logical that from any view you should be able to have the full suite of options on those items. What is special about the playlist view that you should be restricted from editing?
I’m approaching this from the music perspective.
Ideally what I would like to do is be able to select multiple tracks in a playlist and be given the same bulk options that I am provided in the library when selecting multiple tracks. Right now I’m attempting to modify tags and rating in bulk to songs that are in playlists. Currently the only bulk option I have right now in playlists is to remove tracks. The UI between playlists and library are completely different and should be the same.
LOL Looks like this is not a feature anyone wants… Blows my mind
I would like the ability to select one or more items and edit them (specifically tags and labels) from a playlist view.

Super interested in this!
I would really like to have the ability to bulk edit info from the playlists. For example, I have a playlist imported from spotify that I would like to all rate, but there isn’t a way to do it all at once, I have to click on each track one at a time to rate. It would be nice to have the same media controls as the default music layout, or the ability to use the default music layout to filter by playlists.
Many thanks!
On the Web UI, there is currently the ability to edit multiple items when in the normal music library view by clicking the pencil/edit button.
However, this does not appear when selecting multiple track/titles within a Playlist.
Could we have this added to edit groups of items in that menu as well?
