Ability to Match/Fix-match for individual seasons and episodes

I would love to be able to match individual seasons or episodes within a tv series. The main use case is to be able to manually manipulate how to access the series from plex platform. Typically I want to be able to do this with anime content. Anime is much more likely to have a series where “movies” are part the series’ lore and it makes more sense for them to be kept in the TV series library instead of the Movie library.

Are these not commonly listed as specials on TVDB/TMDB?

I tend to agree with BigWheel. Most shows will have that type of „movies“ listed as specials.

That being said: there’s also two existing suggestions discussing options to match show seasons and episodes (although not matching movies as episodes).
Please comment/vote in those threads for the respective features to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes (closing this one as a duplicate).

A possibility to correct a wrong season match

Sometimes, especially in animes, the different seasons are give unique names and are not merely labeled season 1, 2, 3, etc… Then I have to match the series with the original name of the series and Plex then thinks it’s the first season of the series. Because of reasons, for example seeding the folder, I cannot simply rename the folder. So this kind of feature would be really helpful. Though I understand this is probably not a priority feature, I thought I should still throw it out here in case…

Allow "Fix Match" At the TV Episode Level

I have run into an issue (for example) with Doctor Who specials, say, the episode “The Star Beast” (Doctor Who (2005) - The Star Beast - TheTVDB.com) but there is no way to fix this issue for the episode because the season and episode level “Fix Match” does not exist.
