Currently when you try to use theTVdb you may or my not get a match found. What sucks is that you can go to the site and SEE the show right there. You have your files named 100% correctly. themoviedb finds it just fine…but I have found that in many cases themoviedb lists episodes of tv shows incorrectly. I have seen MANY people with issues trying to get tv series correctly found using thetvdb even though the show is there.
So, why not add a space in Search Options under Match where you can add the series ID Number? Then it wouldn’t even have to go search the entire library…it would load the information for that ID number. Seems this would solve all the NOT FOUND issues when the show IS there.
Sweet… I’m usually really good at finding this type of information…but I didn’t see that one… Thank you!
However, I tried it with 75476 which is the ID for TaleSpin. It still says No Match. Grrrrrrrrr The Movie DB has the wrong info for the files as the first (AIRED) 4 episodes are Eps 1-4 (duh)…but in themoviedb they start with episode 4 as episode 1 because the original intro movie became the syndicated first 4 episodes… theTVdb has it listed correctly… but again, still will NOT find a match. This can be so frustrating sometimes. LOL
Ok… well, after about 30 times it FINALLY decided to show me the name on theTVdb… YAY…or so I thought… When I look at theTVdb site under TaleSpin it lists the episodes correctly. 1-4 are the movie broken into 4 parts. Episode 5 then starts the actual series… That’s correct and how it is on theTVdb… BUT, again, when Plex downloads the information it is the same as it was via TheMOVIEdb… it ignores the first 4 episodes (the movie) and starts episode 1 as 'From Here to Machinery" which is actually (and listed as) episode 5. I even tried the Plex dance to clear all the data…same thing… Any ideas or thoughts???
