AC3 5.1 Audio file gives error - "Error - Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost. Please ensure the server is available and retry."

Hi there i am currently running plexmediaserver_1.13.8.5395-10d48da0d_amd64.deb on my Ubuntu Headless Server and the Plex version 4.4 on my android Minix device

Movie files and tv shows that i play with audio AAC work perfectly however when i go to play a file with AC3 i get tghe following error every time " Error - Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost. Please ensure the server is available and retry."
The ironic thing is that on my apple ipad and on my samsung galaxy s6 the same files work great.
Is there anyway i can get the files to play by installing codecs and if so where would they be installed. would it be in the actual ubuntu server or the minix box which is the client. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated with a link or a step by step basic tutotrial as i am sure i am probably not the only one with this issue
