My home server is set up on my computer. When the computer is on and running plex I can stream from my Xbox, but when the computer is off I can’t access any of my media from my Xbox. I have enables remote access but I still get nothing. I tried accessing my content from my computer at work as well, but still nothing. I pay for plex pass because I thought that was the issue. What am I doing wrong?
Turn the computer on.
Maybe try turning the Xbox off as well. They might both need to be off at the same time for it to work

Of course if Plex is setup to run on your computer the computer has to be turned on for Plex to work. You can’t expect Plex to run if the computer running the application is not running.
This is like expecting to drive your car when you haven’t started the motor. ![]()
If you absolutely don’t want to have to keep your computer running then you might want to check out Plex Cloud which is a cloud version of Plex. However, this requires you to upload all your content to a 3rd party storage provider such as Google Drive.

A local sync option for Xbox one would be nice as a backup for when sign in services are down. @cayars any chance that could be done?
At present SYNC is only available on Mobile clients and the windows 10 app as far as I know. It’s not even available with PMP which could be quite useful on notebooks for people who travel often.
I doubt you’ll see it anytime soon if ever on the xbox. However, you could see cached login credentials on the xbox as well as other devices that work better to allow login when the signin services are down.

Cached sign in would be an improvement. Hope that makes it into the app. I wonder if MS is blocking the ability to save files locally. Too bad, cause that would be a great back up for times when things are down and would provide a solution to @SinoSino4 too.
