Hey All, I was having problems with my server not working. It said it wasn’t available and asked to make sure it was a secure connection. After searching all over I never saw the options that where on the plex help page in the forums. Longer story shorter, I restarted the computer a couple times hoping that would fix it but it didn’t so I figured I could just delete my server and add it back. Well apparently its not that easy and no I have no clue what to do. The only option I see is to delete my account buy I don’t want to lose my lifetime plex pass. I tried do the reset directions by deleting certain things in the registry but that didn’t help or fix the issue. So Im just trying to get my server back so I can add my libraries back and get everything back to normal Any help would be appreciated.
Never delete your account.
If you want to start over from scratch - remove existing libraries, etc (your media is not touched):
Look in your list of Authorized Devices. Delete the server if it is listed.
Completely remove Plex Media Server from your system. See Uninstall Plex Media Server.
Reboot your system.
Download & install the current version of Plex Media Server. See Installation and Basic Setup.
Thanks for your quick reply. I see I have about 10 Authoirzed devices. I just deleted them all and I already unistalled the Plex app off my computer so know going to do a restart and see if that works. I’m glad you said to never delete my account because I was really close to doing it.

Doing so won’t remove the registry records.
Perform the registry part of the above linked deinstallation procedure.
Thank you for those that replied. I got it back working again. I followed the steps of deleting the 4 items in the registry, deleting the authorized devices (thanks Fordguy61),uninstalling plex completely from the computer, restarting and installing plex without signing into my account. It gave me an option to add my libraries back and claim my server. The one step I was hesitant about but didn’t end up having to do was delete the LocalappDATA plex folder.
I’ll definetly remember to come here next time when I have an issue since everyone is so helpful which is a good feeling. I do wish I knew why all of a sudden my server was unavailable, but I’ll take this as a sign to seek help first.
