Account Completely Locked Out

Long story short, I was doing some user cleanup and accidentally hit the x on my user name. This took me to the plex website where my password manager auto logged me and did something and then closed.

I am not sure what it did but I assume it closed my account. I can no longer log into Plex Local, Plex website, or even the community forums. I had to create another account to even post this. When trying to log in i get the error “Email is already taken” even though it’s my account.

The email for said account is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. I would just create a new account but I am a lifetime plex pass member and would like to retain that. I tried “forgot” password as well. No emails are being sent to my Gmail account. I have also checked the spam folder.

Any help that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Tip: if you are juggling with several plex.tv accounts, use the ‘incognito’/‘privacy’ mode of your web browser. This should prevent you from accidentally deleting the wrong account.

Another tip: you might want to remove the tokens for your old, no longer used servers here: https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices/pms
to limit the time your clients are trying to search for other servers and to avod confusion in general.
(delete only the no-longer-used servers! )
