Email has already been taken

I have a problem. I changed my main plex account email address, and I would like to use that old email address to register a new plex user. When I’m trying to get through invitation link, I get the following notification “Email has already been taken”. How can I free up my old Plex email address to use again for Plex?

  1. delete the old plex account, to which the old email is still being attached. If you cannot remember the password for that one, use the “Forgot [password]” link on the sign in page.
  2. wait one month.
  3. change the email address of your current plex account

I dont wanna delete my account, I changed the email address of an existing account so that I can use the old email address to register a new user in Plex. I can’t use this old address again in Plex because it says “Email has already been taken”. So do I have to wait a month for it to work again or is there no channel for someone to remove it from the system so I can use it again?

You are getting the message “Email has already been taken” because this email that you want to use is still connected to another Plex account. Since this is your email, I assume that must be also your account.
You need to delete that account, not the one that you are currently using.

But i use currently this account where i change this Email address, i have a just one account.

Maybe you have created one inadvertently? The fact that you get this message shows that there is another account.

Use your web browser’s “incognito” mode, then go to https://www.plex.tv/ and
try to “Sign In” using this email as user name. If your web browser hasn’t stored the password of that account, use the “Forgot” link on the Sign In page to request a password reset email, which you then use to gain access to that forgotten account.
Once you’re in, delete this account.
(make double sure that you are NOT deleting your current account)

So you changed your email from A to B, and want to now use A for a new second account. I believe that the email A will still be semi-reserved by Plex for up to a month before they delete it in their records (in case of fraud, hacks, etc). AFAIK, unless you can get a Plex mod/employee to over-ride that, you must wait the 30 days for A to expire entirely.
