Action Required: DVR Guide Change

In Dallas, TX love this setup.
I just got emailed from Plex that I need to uninstall and reinstall my DVR…
“Action Required: DVR Guide Change”
But do I really need to. I setup my Tuner and Synology Nas with Plex Server on December 10th 2020. Do I still need to reinstall it for the guide changes? Or when I installed on December 10th, was that already on the newer Guide?

If that is the server version you started with then you should already be using Gracenote.

Methods of Verification

  1. Bottom of guide listing should say Powered by Gracenote

  2. Settings > Live TV & DVR Top should have () around channels DVR—Local Broadcast Listings (113 channels)

  3. In a browser got to https:\\app.plex.tv Settings > Console and filter on gracenote. You will need another client to look at TV shows . Should see metadata messages with gracenote in them.

Very interesting. Number 1 is a fail, but number 2 shows (126 channels).

Also, #3 didn’t work for me simply because I disabled the logs.

So is just the parentheses enough that I have Gracenote?

Check for guide data past the 15th, otherwise you would have to re-enable the logs and check.

Was able to scroll to Jan21 where I quit because my finger got tired of clicking!!!
