I'm seeing it on plex web version 2.4.7, running FreeNAS server 0.9.12.1, all my computers, Chrome and Firefox. I haven't seen it on RasPlex (which isn't working anymore because it can't log in now..), and haven't tried PHT, because I like the web client better, but I wouldn't expect it there. It's the little orange announcement bar near the top of the screen that drops down for the web client.
As far as I know if the announcements keep popping back up, it's because either you're switching browsers or the cookie used by the server isn't being saved (or is being deleted).
Each browser has it's own settings/configurations. So every time you access the server from a new browser it is like a new client.
Hm. Could be that I never clicked the X to get rid of it. I had just tried creating a library several times, and clicking the "create" link doesn't make that cookie. That's less obnoxious.Ā
What's the outlook on the gracenote agent working in bsd? I don't like bsd, but I do like my nas. Hopefully it's not a no one has ported it yet problem. Porting is obnoxious but not that hard.
I would say the current outlook is not good. Gracenote hasn't released an SDK for *BSD/Unix systems so until they do that, there's not a whole lot that can be done. Ā A few users have been looking at the linux compatibility layer built into the *BSD system, but for the most part it ends up being run your normal server and then run a secondary server in a linux jail/vm.
Don't get me wrong though. The developers have stated that their end goal is to try and bring feature parity across the platforms. So they do want to bring the features over, but right now the big hurdle is the lack of SDK/Libraries for the Unix/*BSD world.
Have you installed the update for the server? Should be 0.9.12.0.
I was on Plex Media Server 9.11 running on Windows 8.1. I just updated the Plex Media Server to 9.12 and it fixed the issue and now presents me with the Create Page.

Iām running the latest release (Version 1.3.4.3285) on linux debian server.
I restarted the server after subscription.
Is there something else to do ?

I already saw this article but I though it wasnāt up to date because the menu ācreateā didnāt appear when i was creating a music library
I force cache clearing and the menu appearsā¦ really annoying issue for a web application :S
Is there some cache issue known ?
A simple script.js?<version_number> resolves browser cache issue.

But music is very much a big deal for me, and this additional feature of the premium music libraries with the likes of lyrics etc built in was what lead to the lifetime purchase. Already running a backup mobile photo app on the server, cloud sync might be on my long term radar. Just disappointed that these short comings were not mentioned at time of purchase and hopefully this will be added in the near future.
Please try to find a workaround for FreeBSD (FreeNas). Me too brought Plex Pass for the Premium Music Library. Surprised to find out that this is the only OS not supported.
If Gracenote is the blocker for this. Have we looked into alternatives?

I am having the same issue not related to a NAS. I have a lifetime Plex pass, but when attempting to create the library, I only have the normal music option. Running Windows 10 on the server.

I am having the same problem. I.e. not having the option to select Plex Premium Music Library. Iām running the plex server 1.16.1.1291 on Mac OSX High SIerra (Mac mini mid 2010) and plex/web 3.104.1. I have a life time Plex Pass and Iām logged in with the correct user.
I have looked into all the different suggestions in this thread, but still it doesnāt work.
Any suggestions?

Lifetime Plex Pass Member.
When I create a music library, there is no option for āpremium music libraryā, have read all the articles, but it does not help, because the option is missing.
Server is running on Windows 10, version 1.16.1.1291.
Web client Edge version 3.104.1.
