I am very confused right now. A couple days ago I checked the functionality of the cast&crew section and I experienced the following:
within a specific TV-show I clicked on one of the actors and then I got a list of episodes of this TV-show. So I was able to see all the episodes in which they appeared in.
But now when I try to reproduce I only got the whole TV-shows they appeared in and not the single episodes. So I can’t reproduce the list of episodes in which they appeared.
What is the expected behaviour? And why, and how, was I able to see all of the episodes instead of the TV-shows.
follow-up question. Why does a click on the actor not trigger the Discover Credits feature. Is it intentional that I have to look up the name of the actor and then type it into the search bar to get to that? It seems kinda obfuscated to do so
ok I got it now… I changed the library to no include adult content and was testing it immediately → same behaviour. But a simple refresh of app.plex.tv fixed it. Could have been implemented into the save button… I thought it did not had an effect. But you have to refresh the page in order for it to take effect.
So this is sorted out then.
But this was just the follow-up question.
If Discover is not allowed, then the app will resort to only display videos with the actor within the same library.
This is what you saw and apparently liked.
However, Discovery is organizing things differently. Mainly because it has to show a lot more info, so it doesn’t show each episode separately.
yeah but this is the main question:
in the past it showed all related episodes instead of only the TV-show
e.g.: “the walking dead” series. you could then potentially spoiler yourself cause it only showed the episodes in which the actor appeared. I definitely got a list of episodes, but I can’t reproduce this behaviour. Now it is only showing the TV-shows and would like to know why this is. Cause I liked the behaviour of showing episodes instead of just the TV-show more.
