Add "Hide collection" to Plex library Collections default options

I’ve been using Plex Media Server for years and love the Collections feature, however there is one small annoyance. My preferred Collection Mode is the “Hide collection” option listed within the advanced settings of a collection item, where the collection name is hidden from the library view but the associated titles are visible.

I would like to request that the “Hide collection” option is added to the library defaults, which currently only include “Hide items which are in collections” and “Show collections and their items” (under [Library] > Manage Library > Edit > Advanced >Collections). This would enable collections to use the “Library default” collection mode and maintain my preferred display method.

I would change your tags on this to make it a feature suggestion, that way it can be voted on and hopefully gain some traction.

You can actually do that already by setting Collections to Disabled (see ⋮ > Manage Library > Edit... → Advanced)

Maybe the title of this post should be changed to “Make collections settings less confusing” I have assumed forever now that disabled meant it completely disabled collections on the library.

Thank you @tom80H, like @Blkbyrd I always assumed that the “Disabled*” setting turned off the Collections feature for the selected library, and not hide an allowed collection within the current library.
