For individual Collection, there are 4 options in edit (pencil) button / Advanced / Collection Mode:
Library default
Hide items in this collection
Show this collection and its items
Hide collection
However, on individual Library, there are just 3 options in Hamburger / Manage Library / Edit… / Advanced / Collections:
Disabled
Hide items which are in collections
Show collections and their items
It would be nice to add a fourth option that matches the settings of an individual collection, “Hide collection”. Selecting this option for all the collections again and again are tedious and tiresome.
That was what I thought at first. However, disabled in Library settings does not equal hide collection option of an individual collect.
When choosing any options besides disabled in library settings, you have no access to any collections in the library at all. The collections pane is not even shown (the 3 panes of each library are recommended, library, collections. They are shown on top of the library content.).
On the other hand, hiding individual collection, the collection is still shown in collections pane. The specific collection hides in the Library pane only.
Sorry to disappoint.
If you set the library default for collections to Disabled, you’ll still get a Collections tab if you have items in a collection. However… the collections tab won’t appear before you reload the web app after you added items to a collection.
