Add Offline Download to Android/Apple TV

Just wondering if you could please add the Offline Download option to Android TV and Apple TV just like the Android/Apple phone apps have?

I spend my holidays on a boat frequently out of data signal reception. I really miss the ability to offline download my shows/movies to my Android TV in the marina so I can watch them offline when out of reception. Currently, I’m having to use Kodi instead.

Given the feature already exists on phones I’m assuming it shouldn’t be too hard to add the same feature to Android/Apple TV?

Enable Sync to Android TV / Streaming boxes

Please enable the sync feature found in the android mobile app on the android tv app version of Plex. I’ve seen hundreds of posts online about people asking if this is possible. I have an Nvidia shield that I take with me travelling, camping and good internet connections are not always available. The ability to sync some of my content would make things a lot easier - I really don’t understand why the feature would not exist on android tv in the first place? I want to buy a Plex Pass for this…

You can download content (TV shows, movies, etc.) in the iTunes app and watch it offline. I have a 64GB Apple TV, thinking I was going to be able to sync movies from Plex on it (to take on the go), but no such luck. While you only have 500k of permanent persistent storage (to use for settings, library, etc.), you do have the app’s Cache folder to store large amounts of data for downloaded movies. Yes, I did see those but given I’m asking 10 and 6 years later I figured a newer thread might bring this suggestion into recent times I also voted for those.

You can’t download media to an Apple TV, at least not since the first gen.

Of the myriad streaming apps that allow downloads to your devices, none will download to the Apple TV.

Download to another device and use AirPlay.
