I need NordVPN on the servers PC for other reason. Everything works, I would like to speed up the servers connection by adding it to the NordVPN Split Tunnel but I do not know what files or services to add. I also don’t know how to verify if the tunnel is actually bypassing the VPN or not. Any clarification on this would be greatly appreciated.
As far as I know, you should only need to add Plex Media Server.exe to the split tunnel list. On a default installation on Windows, that will be in C:\Program Files\Plex\Plex Media Server\.
Seeing if it’s working can be done a couple of ways. If you have remote access enabled, in Settings -> Remote Access you should see a diagram showing your private IP and public IP. The public IP should match the one shown on your router for its WAN connection. If it shows instead the IP address of your VPN exit node, it didn’t work.
