Have a look at my question from some time ago.
I would like to be able to disable scaling in the windows app.
Mod-Edit: removed reference to discontinued “Windows store app” from thread title to avoid confusion

I believe the Windows store app has been discontinued quite some time ago.
From https://blog.plex.tv
First, the Windows Store app. It’s been a little broken for a while now. Back when we first started developing Windows apps, it made a ton of sense to embrace the ecosystem, but over time (
Windows Phone
) it made less and less sense to keep investing dedicated development resources to the Metro [sic] platform. We’d much rather invest the effort on a cross-platform app with a best-in-class player engine under the hood, so as of today we’re taking our Windows app out of the store.
I think the post has the wrong tag. Should be “player-windows” instead.
Yeah you probably right I wasn’t sure which tag is the right one. This is what my settings say:
Plex for Windows
Version 1.27.2.1599-7689068b
Edit: I changed the tag now
Any updates?
Hi @Heldenhirn. It’s interesting timing, this feature suggestion requires additional zoom (scaling) control: Ultrawide Support on Windows Plex App. Your request falls into the same category just kind of going the other way from more scaling.
I’ve added a reference to this issue to our tracking for adding more video size control to Plex for Windows/Mac.
I would like to see this implemented. My low resolution videos look terrible at 2x. I just want them to play at 1x.
