Having a problem matching a series [World’s Strangest (2013)]. And my only option for agent when manually match searching is Plex TV Series (unless I change the entire library to TVDB). One would think TVDB would pop up as an option when matching since it is an option under the whole library options. Also, when manually matching, it would be nice to be able to include the IMDB TT number to help with a match.

the tv series agent already looks both at TVDB and TMDB. It’s always been possible to search with IMDB number.
by name and year
and by number
You can also put the number in the folder name for the show more info in Naming and Organizing Your TV Show Files | Plex Support
After the show has been found you can go to it’s advanced settings and choose which ordering your files are if you want different than the library default ordering.
Thanks for the prompt response. That is actually how I thought it was supposed to work. I think I just had a strange glitch. It’s wasn’t matching the show at all with anything. I looked more closely and noticed my movies library was also not matching new entries.
So I changed the changed the entire TV library agent to TVDB. Saved. Then immediately went back and changed it back to Plex TV Series. Save. It was then able to match the show. Oddly, without doing anything to the movie library, it was then also able to match movies again.
It was probably a one off glitch. Thanks for being so informative though. I hope this thread will still be somewhat helpful to others.
