That works ok if you have to techy people willing to watch on a laptop together. Absolutely nobody in my group, myself included, wants to watch on a laptop. I hardly ever even want to watch content on my phone. Not to mention its so much better being able to pause without having to ask the host to pause for you if something comes up suddenly.

Those who could have frozen their clients so they don’t update, so we still have access to watch together. I froze the Plex app on my Firestick on my main TV years ago, so I was already good. Roku users are SOL since they have no control over updates…

At the moment I’m separating from my wife because I’m Covid positive again and we use Watch Together every day to watch our stuff together me upstairs and her downstairs.

I’m very glad that it’s still there on Android TV for the time being, but you absolutely NEED to add it back to the New Experience (or alternatively never bring the new experience app to Android TV…)

Do you have the ability to sideload an older version on Android TV like we do on the Firestick?

For the moment sideloading is not necessary, because Android TV is still on the old experience.

But sideloading on Android TV is possible, yes.
